Bitbot is Su Yuen, an inquisitive 22 year old who loves building and experimenting with various technologies. Her interests include web development, interaction design and social media. The discovery of these interests started with her first internship as a graphic & web designer at an agency where she worked on projects for LG, Motorola and Pioneer. This was followed by a 180 degree change to a totally geeky stint as a web application developer with Apple and a straddle into social media marketing & PR with Waggener Edstrom’s Studio D.
What has she been up to?
The Digital Movement
She is currently the Vice Lead of The Digital Movement where she builds platforms for thought leaders to come together, form communities and grow in the technology space. TDM has organized major conferences including BlogOut, NEXUS, iX Conference and PopOut which were host to global thought leaders like Jeremiah Owyang, Douglas Merill, Nat Torkington and Andreas Weigend. Through the initiatives at TDM, she has experimented with using various social media tools to engage conference crowds in-event including the use of live Twitter streams as early as 2007.
